Wednesday Wisdom: Never Settle

N – Never Settle: We push beyond limits and strive for growth every day.

Hurricanes, good enough is never enough when greatness is within reach.
To “Never Settle” means refusing to be satisfied with average. It means pushing yourself to go a little farther, learn a little more, and give a little extra—especially when it’s tough.

💭 “Don’t limit your challenges—challenge your limits.” — Jerry Dunn

This week, remember:

Greatness doesn’t happen by accident—it happens by effort.

Every challenge is a chance to grow.

Every mistake is a lesson in disguise.

Every day is an opportunity to be better than yesterday.

When you choose to Never Settle, you set the tone for success in everything you do—on the field, in the classroom, and in life.

So keep striving, keep learning, and keep moving forward.
Because Hurricanes don’t stop when they’re tired… they stop when they’re finished.

At Alma Bryant High School, we conduct mandatory safety drills each month to ensure we are always prepared to protect our students and staff. Today, we held our scheduled lockdown procedure as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety. This was only a drill, and everything went smoothly.
We want to reassure all parents and guardians that everyone is safe, and we have returned to a normal school day. Thank you for your continued support as we work to keep our campus secure and prepared. 🌪️

Monday Motivation: Accountability

A – Accountability: We take ownership of our actions and choices—on and off campus.

Happy Monday, Hurricanes!
This week, let’s focus on one of the most powerful habits of success — accountability.

Being accountable means taking responsibility for what you do, what you say, and how you respond.
It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being honest, dependable, and committed to doing what’s right.

💭 “Accountability is the glue that ties commitment to results.” — Bob Proctor

When we hold ourselves accountable, we:

Follow through on our goals and promises.

Admit mistakes and learn from them.

Support others by being reliable and trustworthy.

Set the standard for what it means to be a Hurricane.

Remember — leadership starts with ownership.
This week, show accountability in your actions, in your effort, and in the example you set for others.

Let’s make it a week where every Hurricane owns their choices and chases excellence.

The SGA will be hosting a bake sale this Monday to raise funds for our annual Christmas Drive, a tradition where we come together as a school family to support those in need during the holiday season. This is a chance for Cane Nation to step up and make a real difference for our Bryant families. The bake sale will be set up between classes in front of the library, offering a variety of sweet treats for students and staff. Every cookie, brownie, and slice of cake purchased goes directly toward helping provide gifts, meals, and essentials to families in our community. Let’s show our Hurricane heart and support this great cause! 🌪️❤️🎄

Wednesday Wisdom: Community

C – Community: We stand together. We support, serve, and uplift one another.

Hurricanes, our greatest strength isn’t found in one person — it’s found in all of us working together.
When we look out for each other, lend a hand, and build each other up, we create a campus that feels like family.

Community means showing kindness, offering help without being asked, and celebrating each other’s successes.
It means standing beside your classmates, teammates, and teachers — because when one Hurricane succeeds, we all succeed.

💭 “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.” — Helen Keller

This week, show your Hurricane pride by:

Encouraging a classmate who’s having a rough day.

Thanking a teacher or staff member for their hard work.

Including someone new in your group or conversation.

Finding a small way to make someone’s day better.

Together, we are stronger, kinder, and unstoppable.
Let’s continue to build a community that uplifts everyone and shows what being a Hurricane is all about.

Wednesday Wisdom: Toughness

T – Toughness: Stay determined and finish strong.

Hurricanes, life won’t always be easy — but toughness is what gets you through.
It’s the mindset that says, “I may be tired, I may be tested, but I won’t quit.”

Toughness isn’t about being the strongest physically — it’s about staying mentally strong when things get difficult. It’s choosing effort over excuses, discipline over doubt, and perseverance over pressure.

💭 “The difference between the impossible and the possible lies in a person’s determination.” — Tommy Lasorda

This week, challenge yourself to:

Push through when you feel like giving up.

Stay focused on your goals, even when progress is slow.

Encourage your teammates when they’re struggling.

Finish what you start — no matter how tough it gets.

Every time you push past your limits, you grow.
Every time you finish strong, you lead by example.

That’s Hurricane Toughness — GRIT in action. 🌪️💙
Stay strong, stay focused, and finish the week like a champion.

Monday Motivation: Integrity

I – Integrity: Do what’s right, even when no one is watching.

Happy Monday, Hurricanes!
This week’s focus reminds us that real character shows when no one is around to see it. Integrity is about doing the right thing—not for recognition, not for a grade, not for a reward—but because it’s who you are.

When you live with integrity, your choices reflect your values. You earn trust, respect, and pride in knowing you stayed. true to what’s right.

💭 “Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” — C.S. Lewis

Let’s challenge ourselves this week to:

Keep our word, even in small things.

Take responsibility for our actions.

Treat everyone with fairness and honesty.

Make choices that reflect who we want to become.

Remember, Hurricanes — integrity is the foundation of leadership, trust, and true success.
Do the right thing because it’s right, not because it’s easy

💙 “Kindness is Contagious” 💙

It’s Bully Prevention Week, and we’re reminding everyone that kindness is one of the most powerful ways to stop bullying. 🌟 One small act can change someone’s entire day — and create a ripple effect throughout our school.

Hold the door for someone, compliment a classmate, invite someone new to sit with you at lunch, or simply smile and say hello. 💬 These small actions make a big difference.

When we choose kindness, we make Alma Bryant a safer, stronger, and more welcoming place for everyone. Let’s flood the halls of Hurricane Nation with positivity and show what it truly means to be a Bryant Hurricane — full of Growth, Resilience, Integrity, and Toughness! 🌪️

Together, we stand against bullying and stand for kindness. 💙

Wednesday Wisdom: Resilience

Hurricanes, life will always throw challenges our way—but resilience is what helps us rise above them.

R – Resilience: Bounce back stronger after challenges.

When things don’t go as planned, we have two choices:
we can give up, or we can grow.
True Hurricanes choose to grow.

Resilience means facing adversity with courage, staying positive through pressure, and finding strength in the struggle. It’s about learning from mistakes, adapting to change, and refusing to let one tough moment define your future.

💭 “You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.” — Margaret Thatcher

This week, challenge yourself to:

  • Turn obstacles into opportunities.

  • Replace frustration with focus.

  • Support others who might be struggling.

  • Keep your head high, even when the wind blows hardest.

Every time you get back up, you show the world what GRIT really means.
Stay strong, Hurricanes — we rise, we rebuild, and we never back down. 🌪️💙

Tardies to 1st period are becoming a major problem. Please be reminded that school begins at 7:09 and 4 tardies equal 1 unexcused absence, which gets pulled by the DA's office regularly. Buses are available for all our students, which get here on time daily if you are having issues getting here on time. Thank you for your attention to this issue as we try and teach our students the importance of being on time.

Building Character Through HURRICANE GRIT and the CANES Creed

At Alma Bryant High School, we believe that true success comes from more than academics — it comes from character, perseverance, and community. To help our students grow into strong, responsible leaders, we are proud to introduce our renewed Character Education Program focused on HURRICANE GRIT and the CANES Creed.

Every Monday and Wednesday, our leadership team will deliver short motivational messages that embody what it means to be a Bryant Hurricane. Students will also engage in Character Education lessons during REACH Advisory — discussing, reflecting on, and putting these core values into action through interactive activities and guided conversations.

💪 HURRICANE GRIT
• G – Growth: Strive to improve and learn every day.
• R – Resilience: Bounce back stronger after challenges.
• I – Integrity: Do what’s right, even when no one is watching.
• T – Toughness: Stay determined and finish strong.

🌊 CANES Creed
• C – Community: We stand together. We support, serve, and uplift one another.
• A – Accountability: We take ownership of our actions and choices—on and off campus.
• N – Never Settle: We push beyond limits and strive for growth every day.

• S – Strive for Excellence: We give our best in everything we do—academics, athletics, arts, and character.

To celebrate students who live out these values, we will recognize our HURRICANE GRIT Students each Tuesday and Thursday. These students will be honored for demonstrating our core values both in and out of the classroom.

Through HURRICANE GRIT, the CANES Creed, and our REACH Advisory lessons, we are continuing to build a culture of excellence, compassion, and pride — one student at a time.
