Parents, thank you for continuing to make school attendance a priority! September is Attendance Awareness Month, and we have seen great attendance so far this month. Thanks to your help, we have made tremendous improvement in our school attendance rates over the past several years. Great student outcomes start with great attendance!

Congratulations to our Kids with Character for the month of August! These students were selected by their teachers and peers for consistently demonstrating the character trait of School Pride. We are very proud of these students for being great role models for their peers!

Parents, Quarter 1 Mid-Quarter Progress Reports are coming home with students today. These progress reports include current averages in each subject, along with the student's areas of strength and areas for improvement. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your child's teacher.

You can either scan the QR codes with your camera, or (if on your phone) you can touch and hold the QR codes. Each survey only takes 2-3 minutes. Your feedback is very important to us!

You won't want to miss this important information regarding how the school is working to set up your child for success--and how you can help! An interpreter will be on hand for our Spanish-speaking families.

Today we conducted our severe weather and intruder safety drills. These drills are incredibly important to help our students know how to act if there was the threat of severe weather in the area or if an unknown intruder was on campus. Our students did a tremendous job today! They were quiet and followed the instructions of teachers and staff. The safety of our students is our top priority at Nan Gray Davis Elementary! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Dr. Agnew or your child's teacher.

Parents, please make plans to join us for an important informational meeting regarding the Literacy Act and Numeracy Act on Tuesday, September 9, from 5PM to 6PM. You will hear the facts about these important acts from our Reading Coach and Math Coach. You will also hear what the school is doing to help all students be successful and how you can help your child succeed. An interpreter will be on hand for our Spanish-speaking families.
