Tomorrow (Monday, November 10) is a Virtual Learning Day. Classes will not be in session. Students were sent home with a work packet last week. Students will return to school on Wednesday, November 12, after the Veterans' Day Holiday.

Attention: Tomorrow, November 6, students in grades 2-5 will be taking the ACAP Practice Test. This assessment will provide our teachers with valuable information related to your child's preparation for the state assessment in the Spring. In addition, it will allow our students to gain familiarity with the state testing platform. Please make every effort to have your child present at school tomorrow.

As you are probably aware, SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits are currently unavailable. We understand how stressful this situation can be for those who rely on this support, and we want to ensure that no child goes without food or care during this time. If your family is affected, please know that help is available:
Our school cafeteria will continue to serve breakfast and lunch daily to all students at no charge.
Attached is a list of churches and food pantries serving our Theodore community.
Families in need can reach out to our school counselor or social worker for additional information.
In addition, families may request a one-time box of non-perishable food if they are experiencing a food crisis in their household. To submit this request, complete the form at the following link: https://forms.office.com/r/kx5kxCBaKg
We encourage any family experiencing hardship to contact us confidentially — we are here to support you. You may reach out to our school counselor Mrs. Kim Jones at kljones@mcpss.com or Dr. Paul Agnew at pjagnew@mcpss.com.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to make sure every child is cared for and supported.

As a reminder, our Fall Festival will be this Friday, November 7. A flyer with all details was sent home last week (a copy of that flyer is below). Parents should complete/detach the bottom of that flyer and send back to school with money as soon as possible. Students will need an armband ($10) to participate in the activities and games. Food and drinks will also be available for purchase. Parents may attend, but no siblings are allowed to attend. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child's teacher.
